R. Taylor Moore is a sixth-generation Texan who grew up northwest of Houston. He received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Texas A&M University, followed by a Master of Public Policy degree at Pepperdine University, where he focused on International Relations and Economics.
After traveling extensively in Latin America and completing a graduate-level internship at the U.S. Mission to the European Union, Taylor went to work for the CIA. His career began in the Directorate of Analysis, keeping senior U.S. policy makers informed on national security and foreign policy issues. He then moved over to the Directorate of Operations, the agency’s branch designated to collect human intelligence and conduct covert action.
Taylor later consulted for the Department of Defense, utilizing his intelligence expertise to assist the military in Theater Security Cooperation, Force Protection, and in Counter-illicit Trafficking. He also engaged in Counterterrorism and Counterintelligence issues.
Since leaving government service, Taylor has worked in the oil and gas industry. He now lives in the Texas Panhandle with his wife and two children, where he is a full-time author and speaker.
